Tool types
The connector's tools are grouped into two types based on the kind of API request they make:
| Type | Operations | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Read-only | GET requests only — retrieve data without making any changes |
Listing folder contents, retrieving form templates, looking up user details |
| Write / Delete | POST, PUT, and DELETE requests — create, update, or remove data |
Creating a folder, generating an Advanced Form, deleting a file |
Permission levels
Each tool can be set to one of three permission levels:
Always allow
Claude uses the tool automatically whenever it determines it is needed, without prompting you for confirmation.
Needs approval
Claude pauses and prompts you to confirm before using the tool. Choose this for write or delete operations you want to review case by case.
Blocked
Claude cannot use the tool at all, even if asked. Use this to prevent specific operations entirely — for example, blocking all delete tools in a shared environment.
